OUR PROGRAMS
ALC recognizes that building and maintaining healthy and safe social networks can be challenging, but we are dedicated to empowering our clients to enhance their quality of life and overcome barriers that hold them back. Individuals can receive training while living with family members to prepare for independent living. Our training curriculum is tailored to each individual based on their Person-Centered Practices and Individual Program Plan.

ILS (Independent Living Services)
  • Personal awareness and self-image

  • Personal planning, including time management and problem-solving

  • Developing and building safe relationships

  • Identifying and scheduling medical services

  • Household maintenance and communication with property owners

  • Money management

  • Menu planning and safe meal preparation

  • Shopping for groceries, household items, and personal care products

  • Personal and public safety, including home and community awareness and proper use of emergency services (police and fire)

  • Increasing engagement in community activities and hobbies


ALC offers individuals the opportunity to live in their own homes with support that promotes self-sustaining living situations. The focus is on achieving long-term personal goals through the principles of normalization and inclusion. These services are available for as long as they are needed.

SLS (Support Living Service)
  • Assistance with selecting and moving into a home.

  • Grocery shopping, meal planning, and meal preparation

  • Choosing personal attendants and housemates

  • Scheduling and attending medical appointments.

  • Arranging or providing transportation.

  • Assistance with light housekeeping and paperwork

  • Money management, budgeting, bill payment, and banking


Supported Living Services (SLS) provide personalized support tailored to meet the needs of individuals who may struggle to accomplish certain tasks due to the severity of their physical or developmental challenges.
